Pimples and Face Masks

Is your face full of pimples? It happens to most young people, you wake up and damn there's another big yellow head staring at you when you look in the mirror. Obviously you are tempted to pop that pimple to make it disappear. Wouldn't it be better to prevent pimples from showing up in the first place? No we haven't found a secret formula that prevents all pimples from messing up your face. But there are definitely some options available to you to make your face look clearer.

A good way to start the day is with a face wash specifically made for pimple prone skin. So that's a product for daily use. You should also look into getting some clay masks. You can use these once or twice a week. They deep-clean your pores to remove debris that could cause pimples. Clay masks do not have to be expensive, there are plenty of lower price brands that do the trick. We do recommend you start with clay masks that contain only natural ingredients. If it doesn't have any effect on your skin then perhaps look at those products that include more aggressive chemicals. A note about clay masks : after you have applied your first face mask it may happen that pimples pop up. These are pimples that would have shown their evil faces anyway, however, the mask has "pushed" them out. After a few face masks this effect should be gone (as long as you keep your skin clean). Another important thing to look out for is what kind of mask you will use on your skin. Your skin may be oily, which requires a mask that reduces oil levels. Or you have dry skin and you need a moisturising mask. There are masks available for pretty much any kind of skin type.

Should you apply the mask on just the pimples or on your entire face? This kind of depends on how many pimples you have and the skin quality.

If your skin is affected by pimples spread all over your face then obviously it would be smart to apply the mask on your entire face. Some people report that they have had luck putting some clay on 1 pimple and leaving it on while they sleep (this dries out the pimple). It's up to you to see what works best in your situation. White clay masks are a good start since they are usually better suited for sensitive skin. After removing the clay mask with lukewarm water, end your routine with some cold water (to close the pores).
