Acne Treatment
Is there a universal cure for acne? No there isn't. There are quite a few types of acne that require different types of treatment. Perhaps it is hard to find that perfect acne treatment because of that. Most of the big skin care companies produce acne products that work on general acne, but may be ineffective on your skin because you could have a different form of acne. Acne treatment products range from the very mild to the very aggressive. It's is obviously important that you first try the mild products so you can test how your skin reacts to it. Sadly many acne products dry the skin so if you found a product that works well in removing your acne, but it dries out your skin, then get a moisturiser that doesn't clog your pores. This will restore moisture levels and repair any damage that your acne treatment product has done to your skin.
As mentioned above a large percentage of acne products dry out your skin, especially products that contain benzoyl peroxide. However, this particular ingredient is one of the more effective ingredients in fighting acne. Benzoyl peroxide is known to cause irritation if you have sensitive skin, so carefully watch what happens to your skin after applying your product. If you have acne on your back or other parts of your body besides your face then products containing benzoyl peroxide are more suitable, since the skin on your face is more prone to irritation because of it being thinner. What benzoyl peroxide does is basically kill bacteria on your skin and promoted cell renewal, you will notice some skin flaking.
Don't just try the famous brands that everyone is talking about. There are a whole bunch of natural products that may be perfectly effective for your personal acne situation.
Don't hesitate to ask your friends for advice, or go see a dermatologist - she/he will analyse your skin situation and advise you on what course to take for the best results.
